Congratulations to Artificial, Picnic, Propulsioneers, Chef Robotics, Viabot, Plus One Robotics, Mighty Fly, Liftians and Multiply Labs for their recent funding rounds! Tomorrow I'm holding a 1 hour workshop on Hiring for Inclusivity or DEI - while aimed primarily at smaller startups without HR departments the workshop is open to all SVR members. Our last startup workshop on pitching with FounderSuite CEO/Founder Nathan Beckford was great and he's let me share the slides (see attached).I'm doing a lot of work around Inclusive Robotics - both robots that are inclusive and robotics companies that are inclusive - working on a whitepaper in partnership with CITRIS People and Robots Lab at UC Berkeley. If you are struggling to hire, or to be more diverse, then it's critically important to make sure your recruitment pipeline is robust and inclusive. (Import AI has just reported on how affinity groups like Black in AI, Widening NLP etc. are ending sponsor relationships and distancing themselves from Google over recent 'unethical' events.)We have one spots left in our May 19 Online Robotics Job Fair We attract a diverse candidate range (approx 33% female and 10% African-american or other underrepresented group). You also get access to our most recent candidate resume database.Don't forget to post your jobs on our Robojobs page We highlight these jobs each week on social media. Speaking of media... Congratulations to OhmniLabs, Fuji and Roam Robotics for their recent press releases - reposted on Silicon Valley Robotics. If you have a PR release going out, or a blog/Medium/LinkedIn article that you'd like to share - please send it to me (with a picture or two!) and I'll repost on the Silicon Valley Robotics website which usually sees a few thousand visitors each month. Finally, I am organizing Trade Show Missions for the next three years - both globally and in US - and applying for assistance from the Dept of Commerce. I will be shortly sending you a survey re your interest in (for example) - World of Drones and Robotics Congress in Brisbane Australia in August, or ITAP in Singapore in November, or a selection of Agtech tradeshows. Please RSVP to help secure funding for your travel/promotion.
