Global Lerobot Hackathon underway with multiple tracks and lots of prizes
Woops. We broke Hugging Face today, as demand surged during the Global Hackathon. Good news… all is largely back online again now. There are thousands of participants around the world at more than 100 locations, plus a simulation track, currently building, coding, training and testing LeRobots, LeKiwis and , including a large contingent from the SF Bay Area (nearly 100 in our Mountain View hackathon at Circuit Launch, plus more in the San Francisco Frontier Tower hackathon).
Hugging Face cofounder Thomas Wolf said that this weekend’s hackathon would add several thousand hours of robot data to the world… making a dent in the 100,000 year robot data gap that Ken Goldberg talks about.

The IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE) is the flagship automation conference of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) and constitutes the primary forum for cross-industry and multidisciplinary research in automation. Its goal is to provide broad coverage and dissemination of foundational research in automation among researchers and practitioners.
CASE 2025 will be held on August 17 – August 21, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, USA. The pre-conference workshops will be held on August 17, 2025. This is a great opportunity to showcase to the world’s leading automation, robotics and engineering community.
