For better or worse, humans think that humanoids are the ultimate robot.

That means we’re going to keep building them, even if you believe that it’s a stupid waste of time and money. Even if some economic outcomes from building humanoids take longer to become visible, there are already indicators that humanoids are the next major technological product revolution.

It might look like AI is the revolution, but think of all the AI gurus who are suddenly robotics enthusiasts. I’ve been thinking about the commercialization of humanoids for a long time and the deeper I go, the more technological and economic sense it makes. I’m up to six seven eight nine ten eleven distinct business cases for humanoids and I’m sure that others will emerge.
